This product is put out by Carson-Dellosa Publishing and is geared towards ages 3 and up. I love it. It develops fine motor skills, language, picture/word association, and spelling. It is simple, fun and educational.
There are two different activities you can do with these puzzle pieces. You can form the picture and read the word or you can flip the pieces over and spell out the word. Only the right pieces will fit together to form the pictures and words.
I recommend this for anyone with a young child of at least 3 years of age. I can not think of anything that isn't positive to say about it. Both of my children have enjoyed playing with Learning to Read! First Words. My youngest, who is five, still loves it. She started using it before the age of three and still enjoys it today.
