Parent Takes Picture of Baby Smoking A Bong

Florida authorities are looking into the parents of a child apparently photographed smoking a bong. The mother is quoted as saying:
“..And I took the pic to show one f**** person and it was a mistake. I would never ever let him get high.”
Florida Department of Children and Families have been out to investigate this family twice. The mother will undergo drug testing and the child will undergo medical evaluations from a pediatrician.

I think the mom was stupid in taking this picture. I also think she was stupid to have drug paraphernalia in her home. Even if we give her the benefit of the doubt, and say it was just something she has for a conversational piece, a bong is not something you should have in the house when you have children.

In my opinion, this woman is guilty of being stupid, but not child abuse. Unless, of course, the medical evaluations contradict what the mom has stated. It’s a shame that some parents can be so careless and thoughtless. It’s horrible that there are parents out there that can be so clueless in their actions.

What we do, or don’t do, has a big impact on our children. You have to think things out, and not act impulsively. I don’t do anything without thinking how it will impact my children. Parents have always said that raising a child would be easier with a handbook. There are those that believe some people should not be parents. I believe that there are a lot of parents out there that need to rethink their parenting skills and get help. This is one woman that needs to attend some parenting classes and see a therapist.

Actor Charlie Sheen is Arrested on Christmas Day

Actor Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller. “Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as the actor Charles I. Sheen, was brought to the Pitkin County Colorado Jail for booking and incarceration following his arrest by the Aspen Police Department,” Pitkin County Sheriffs Office patrol director Jeff Lumsden said in a statement.” - People

44 year old actor Charlie Sheen is currently starring in the popular comedy “Two and a Half Men.” His father is well known actor Martin Sheen, most recently of “The West Wing.” Charlie has been charged with domestic violence and is currently being held without bail due to Colorado state law.






The question up in the air is whether or not Charlie was the aggressor or his wife, Brooke, was. She called the police and accused Charlie of attacking her.

“The actor's rep, Stan Rosenfield, tells PEOPLE, "Do not be mislead by appearance. Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion."

The sad part of this is that this happened on Christmas Day and, since it is Friday, he may have to spend the weekend in jail before telling his side of the story to the judge. I’m not going to judge, but if he is guilty, he is where he belongs. On the other hand, if he isn’t, then shame on Brooke for having him arrested. It is horrible when false accusations are made and it makes it harder for women that are true sufferers of spousal abuse to get justice.

Update: Charlie posted an $8,500 bond after speaking to a county judge, according to the New York Daily News, and, "Sheen was arrested in 1996 and charged with attacking a girlfriend at his home. He pleaded no contest and was placed on two years' probation."
