New Camera Video Reviews and Baby Proofing My Home

There’s a reason I used to clean my house every day. There’s a reason my house used to be baby proofed. The reason for both was that I had babies and toddlers. I no longer do. Unless, I am babysitting. I watched my nephew for an hour today. He’s a little cutie. I realized, after he arrived, that I was not ready for him. I rushed around, cleaned, put things away, and still, it wasn’t enough. It had been so long since I had to baby proof my rooms, that it could not be done in a short period of time. Luckily, my daughter was very good at watching him like an eagle.

He didn’t get hold of anything that she felt wasn’t safe or I had told her to make sure he didn’t pick up. I was able to take some great pictures and a video of them. Yes, I took the pictures and video. I took them with my new Sony Cybershot. It’s great. I love it. It’s also pink. I like that, but hubby isn’t too thrilled about it. The little carry case I bought for it is pink, too. Hubby says he will be buying a camera for himself, soon.

I’m still getting to know my Sony. I’m not happy that we had to go out and buy a Memory Stick Duo for it. I was very unhappy when it didn’t work on my computer. I was happy that the camera came with a cord to use to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer. I’m getting to know the different features for the camera. So far, I like the ones I’ve figured out.

Life Without A Camera

I recently dropped my camera. In it's prime, it was a really good camera. It took many fine pictures of my family. It was easy to carry around, and had a video feature. I loved the display on the back and flipping through the pictures I had taken, before I had the opportunity to put them on the computer.

My camera was dropped several times. I'm sorry I did not take better care of it. Unfortunately, when you have kids, you are always juggling multiple things in your hands. They also like to hold the camera, and use it. I'm not the only one that dropped the camera over the four years we had it. My kids and my husband are also guilty of mistreating our trusting camera.

I'm surprised it has lasted as long as it has. You may wonder what brand it is. It's an HP. I miss being able to use it. I miss not being able to take pictures of special moments. There have been a lot of missed pictures since my camera took it's last fall to the ground.

My husband wants to get me a new camera. I want a new one, too. The problem is, I don't know what kind to get. Yes, my HP was an excellent camera. It wasn't perfect. I've also use Kodak in the past, and was happy with it. Plus, there are now cameras available with more features. I'm not a tech person. I'm not a professional camera person. I point and click. Then, I hope the camera has captured a great picture.

I need to make a decision soon. I'm missing out on a lot of photo opportunities. Any suggestions? Do you have a favorite camera? If so, what and why?
