Small Talk Six

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Today, on MomDot's Small Talk Six, the topic is “6 things you say, but wouldn’t want your children to repeat.” Here are mine:

1. "D#@##!!!"

2. " Anything I say in the car after visiting my mom."

3. "I hate _____________ (fill in the blank with appropriate name)."

4. "Move your car, idiot"

5. "Get a life"

6. Anything I say immediately after an IEP meeting.

Oh, I forgot about the things that I say after visiting my mom, oh she and I don't see eye to eye very often. Good thing is, my daughter is 20 and feels the same way I do about that whole situation and some times she says it first. lol

After reading everyone's STS this week, I realized I did not have to think of things I actually say AROUND my kids, which is what I did. Most other things I say I would not say around my kids, mostly because it would embarrass me more than them. =)

What I really hate is when I am the idiot in the car. Oh, and I know when I am, too. lol

I think the car is an excellent place for our kids to pick up new forms of language...

Shot, I could have used the one about the mother in law too. I dread my visits with my MIL. Great list, I hope you have a great weekend

Oh my goodness this is fun! I might have to do this.

Thank you commenting on the Tap to Talk. We are going to seriously look into this. Thank you for the input. We were actually already thinking about getting our son a DS to see if he can learn that way...but these gives us even more motivation!

I have an award for you on my blog if you choose to claim it. Hope you and your family have a blessed weekend!

I have many things that flow from my mouth like diarrhea after seeing my SIL or BIL. LMAO If they weren't so damn stupid, ignorant and hateful, I wouldn't have this problem. LOL

I try to not do it in front of The Diva, but sometimes it just flows uncontrollably.

LOL--number 5 was what I used to say all the time. I hope you don't have to use number 6 too often
