(Defeat Autism Now) has conferences on autism and there are a number of conferences around the country for those who offer a biomedical approach to autism recovery. Here are some sites that may have more info.

Bancroft's
(www.bancroft.org) DD Workshop series.

On April 7, 2010, Bancroft will be holding a free Developmental
Disabilities Workshop on Characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder
from 6:30PM-8:30PM.

This workshop will focus on describing the varied characteristics of
Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Aspergers Disorder, the
criteria for medical diagnosis, prevalence among the population, known
etiology, the domain areas of affected impairment and associated
features of each diagnosis.

The workshop will be held in the Farrington Building, located on
Bancroft's Campus in Haddonfield, New Jersey. For further information

These workshops are available to the public at no charge. Support
generously provided by the TD Charitable Foundation.

six, one-day "Food Solutions" workshops. The nextis: MARCH 3, 2010
MANAGING AUTISM, ADHD, ASTHMA AND ALLERGIES Learn about the special
dietary needs of children with Autism, ADHD, Asthma and Allergies from
pediatricians, Dr. Kenneth Bock, author of _Healing the New Childhood
Epidemics_ and Dr. Stephen Cowan. Through insightful discussion,
hands-on cooking and thought-provoking food-centric activities you
will acquire practical tools for implementing restorative dietary
practices into your lifestyle and your children̢۪s. The workshops
are under the direction of Amanda Archibald, RD and Culinary
Nutritionist, Stefanie Bryn Sacks, MS, pioneers in the world of
food and nutrition, dedicating their life work to developing a
seamless conversation between health provider, nutritionist, the
consumer and the kitchen. Together Archibald and Sacks have created
the food tools and hands-on culinary experiences to help every
American find new meaning in their relationship with food, food choice

The San Carlos Children's Theater (San Carlos, California)
theater-based social skills play group for children ages 6 - 9 called
Friends In Training (FIT). A FIT play group is scheduled to
begin February 22. A spring session begins on April

Nicci Bates is a mother of an autistic son who started
GFCFDoneEasy.com to help parents transitioning to a
gluten-free/casein-free diet. Please include it in your list of
resources.

The site also posts events of interest to parents of autistic
children including conferences, fundraisers/walks, and gluten-free
cooking classes.
