Parents, especially moms, of autistic children are looking for ways to stay home with their child and still earn an income. One way that this is accomplished is by starting their own businesses. Women entrepreneurs are becoming an important part of the economy. They are not the only ones. Watching their moms operate their own businesses can lead to children who want to operate their own. They also see first hand the hard work it takes to run a successful business. Youth owned businesses are starting to pop up around the country. Moms can encourage their child’s dream of having their own business with the help of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
The Kauffman Foundation funds programs for school aged children and college interns. These programs are designed to educate the young entrepreneurs of our generation in math, engineering, science, and technology. The Kauffman Foundation understands the importance that aiding young entrepreneurships has on our nations economic future. They do intense research that allows them to give ideas and leadership with little funding. Their aim is to promote independent entrepreneurship. The college programs are designed to create courses at universities that will give the students the tools they need to start up their own businesses. The Kauffman Foundation also makes available scholarships for students to go to college. If you are the mother of a future young entrepreneur, check out the Kauffman Foundation to see how they can help you.
